Albert Sorribas

Full Professor of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Lleida and at the Institute for Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLLEIDA). Vice-chancellor for Scientific and Technological Policies of the University of Lleida since 2011. Research activity in mathematical modeling of metabolic pathways, with special focus on the operational and design principles that may help explaining their evolution. Author of more than 75 papers in the field, including systems biology, optimization methods, bioinformatics, and statistical methods. Former subdirector of the Institute for Biomedical Research of Lleida and coordinator of the Systems Biology Section of the Catalan Society of Biology.
