Advancement of Laser for Medicine

Light, and specifically laser light, has become one of the key tools for scientific, technological and economic advancement in many areas, ranging from telecommunications and the Internet through the life sciences and health, to the environment and entertainment.

The aim of these sessions is to develop new tools and technology applied to biomedicine that involve light as a key element. They will deal with the challenges and opportunities available in the development of new tools over the coming decade and discuss real clinical applications, both for diagnostics and therapy, in a variety of medical specialties: dermatology, odontology, the digestive system, the skeletal muscle system, and oncology.

The debate sessions, coorganized by B·Debate and ICFO, will bring together clinical professionals and expert researchers from different disciplines that all study and use light from complementary approaches and scales.
