El microbioma és una part essencial en el funcionament del nostre cos i la salut humana. En els darrers anys hem començat a desxifrar el gran potencial científic i terapèutic del microbioma en pràcticament totes les disciplines de la medicina actual.

The Barcelona Debates on the Human Microbiome – From Microbes to Medicines, organitzat per B·Debate, una iniciativa de Biocat i l’Obra Social “la Caixa”, conjuntament amb l' IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute, reunirà a experts mundials de diverses disciplines que han centrat la seva recerca en microbioma. En aquesta tercera edició del cicle The Barcelona Debates on the Human Microbiome, tindrem la oportunitat de conèixer les darreres investigacions en aquest camp enfocades en envelliment, malalties neurodegeneratives, càncer, malalties infeccioses i malalties de l’aparell digestiu.

El debat abordarà també la cada cop més evident importància de la interacció de les comunitats fúngiques i bacterianes que habiten el cos humà i la seva influència en la salut.
