Descripció

La recerca de frontera en el camp de la imatge molecular per a les ciències de la vida, de la salut i de les seves tecnologies està en forta expansió. L’aplicació d’aquestes tecnologies inclou des de la recerca bàsica in vivo, a diferents nivells (nano, micro, cel·lular, animals/individus sencers), fins al disseny i avaluació preclínica de noves molècules, diagnòstic i teràpia clínics. Aquestes jornades se centraran en el camp de la imatge biomolecular, amb èmfasi en la investigació molecular, cel·lular, tissular i de petits animals, així com en les seves aplicacions biomèdiques, incloent diagnòstic no invasiu, cirurgia guiada per imatge, escaneig multimodal i teranòstic.

L’objectiu d’aquestes jornades, organitzades per B·Debate, una iniciativa de Biocat i l’Obra Social “la Caixa”, conjuntament amb l'Institut de Biotecnologia i Biomedicina (IBB) - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) i el Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS) - Ljubljana University (Eslovenia), és el d’aplegar a experts nacionals i internacionals de primer nivell del món acadèmic, de la medicina i de la indústria per discutir les perspectives del camp i les estratègies per superar els reptes actuals, així com els efectes derivats en àmbits de situació social, sanitària, econòmica i de recerca industrial.

Tècniques d'imatge molecular per a la medicina de precisió

La medicina busca cada vegada més un major grau de precisió. Identificar el procés exacte que té lloc en cada pacient per oferir un diagnòstic i un tractament el més precisos possible. Busca augmentar l'eficàcia i alhora reduir els efectes secundaris. I en aquest camí s'acompanya d'un aliat cada vegada més important: les tècniques d'imatge. Per discutir alguns dels més recents i importants avenços en aquest camp diversos dels millors experts internacionals es van reunir el 8 i 9 de novembre convocats per B·Debate, l'Institut de Biotecnologia i Biomedicina (IBB) i el Jožef Stefan Institute (IJS).
