Barcelona Conference on Epigenetics and Cancer (BCEC)
Debate conference series ‘Barcelona Conferences on Epigenetics and Cancer’ (BCEC), is an initiative of five reference research centers at Barcelona in order to gather together scientific experts in the research on epigenetics and cancer: Institute of Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (IMPPC), Cancer Epigenetics and Biology Program (PEBC-IDIBELL), Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and Molecular Biology Institute of Barcelona (IBMB-CSIC). The IMPPC is now the Program for Predictive and Personalized Medicine of Cancer (PMPPC) at the Institute Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP), that joined the project at 2016, together with the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute (IJC).
The series consists of five editions (2013-2017) leaded by each of the corresponding research centres, where fundamental aspects of cancer biology and epigenetics or the development and exploitation of this knowledge for new cancer treatments are addressed.
