Angel Gil

Doctor in Psychology and specialist in Clinical Psychology, Mental Health, Addictions and Assistive Quality. He also has a background in Senior Management of Public Administration and Business Management. He was a civil servant of the Generalitat de Catalunya, currently in surplus, where he held different management positions, in the areas of management and public planning of social and socio-health services aimed at the elderly, disabled, mental illness or poverty and social exclusion. He has also been a consultant in these matters. The main achievements in the public sector were the implementation of plans to improve the quality of care in the social services system, the planning and development of social services for people with mental illness, the first program of social services in Catalonia, the program contracts with the local administrations and the implementation of the system promoting the autonomy and attention to the people in situation of dependence of Catalonia.
Since 2007, he has been with the Institut Guttmann Foundation, where he has developed responsibilities as coordinator of social and social health programs and currently as an advisor in the social field of disability.
He has several distinctions, has been adviser of different plans of Catalonia and the rest of the State, has done university lecture, has several publications and more than 120 speeches as lecturer or speaker in different events.
