COLLEEN CAMPBELL leads outreach for the Open Access 2020 Initiative, a global effort of national research councils, university rectors’ conferences, libraries and consortia, working to accelerate the transition of today’s scholarly journals from the current subscription publishing paradigm to new open access publishing models that ensure outputs are open and re-usable and that the costs associated with their dissemination are transparent and economically sustainable. Previously European Director for Participation and Strategic Partnerships for JSTOR and the digital preservation service, Portico, Colleen has over 20 years’ experience across all areas of the academic information sector, serves on a number of information industry committees, and is a frequent speaker at international conferences.
